Hi, I’m Madisen!
Thanks for wanting to know more about me! First, you read my name right! It's Madisen with an 'e.' As I've said throughout my life, I'm a Madi-sen, not a Madi-son, and I wouldn't have it any other way because it's one of the differences about me that makes me stand out and reminds me that it's okay to be different. There's a whole lot that I could tell you about me but I'll try to keep it short by breaking down a short list...
I'm a Christian. Georgia native. Entrepreneur.
Author. Creative. Speaker. Chronic Disease Fighter.

This one has to be number one! Why? Because aside from my name being spelled differently, being a Christian is what sets me apart. I grew up in church, and I was saved when I was seven. I'm still active in church, serve in church, and work with churches. Everything I do is through the lens of doing it for God and walking in obedience to His call on my life. Does that mean it's easy, life hasn't had its difficulties, and there's been no doubt? NOPE! But it means I'm reminded daily of who I am not and who He is!
Georgia has always been on my mind and my family's mind. I come from generations of Georgia natives, specifically in the northeast region of Georgia. Just like I'm grateful for my Christian heritage, I'm thankful for my Southern heritage and Georgia roots. Why? Because it's a part of who I am. It's more than just southern sayings, it's more than just good southern food (which I'm a huge fan of); it's been where my roots have been placed and where I have grown and continue to grow. It's HOME! When I'm in Georgia, you'll find me spending time with family, working, resting, playing pickleball, and just living life. When I'm not in Georgia, you'll probably find me at a Disney property or on the South Carolina coast.
Maybe it was having a grocery store, restaurant, and bookstore in my playroom as a child. Maybe it was the bracelet business in elementary school. Maybe it was the t-shirt and sign business in high school. Being an entrepreneur and having the entrepreneurial spirit has always been a part of who I am before I could even say the word entrepreneur, much less spell the word. I didn't know when I would become an entrepreneur in my life, but I knew I would be one at some point in my life. In 2021, I established my creative agency, MK CRTV, and took the agency full-time in 2022.
I've always loved writing, even the creative writing of short stories in elementary school. I love telling stories and reading stories! I wrote and published my first book, Making Church Marketing Simple, in 2020, which has helped churches and church leaders all across the country with their branding and marketing strategies. I continue to write daily through social media, blogs, and copywriting.
Book writing, though, and being an author has a special place in my heart...I may be dabbling in book two currently.
Like I said, I love writing, but I also love design, art, music, and so much more. From graphic design to podcast producing to videography, being creative gives me the lens to look at things in a whole new way, even with business and especially with marketing. You'll even find me looking at a sign, menu, etc., trying to identify fonts and Pantone colors or identify background music in podcast intros.
Well, I was a talker first and still am a talker. Being Southern and loving stories makes me love to talk! I get to do it professionally, too. From podcasts to conference breakout sessions to virtual conferences, I've been a featured speaker talking about Christian living, female leadership, social media, marketing, and communications to audiences varying in size from small trainings to conferences of a few thousand attendees. I am the Chief Marketing Officer and a speaker with She Leads Church.
To be honest, this one is hard for me to put because I haven't always been open about it except to close family and friends. After a year and a half of searching for answers, I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in early 2020. In March 2021, I finally achieved remission but was still suffering from debilitating joint pain, fatigue, and dry eyes/dry mouth. In late 2021, I was further diagnosed with Enteropathic Arthritis. As of late 2023, it's been a daily fight for 5.5 years, with many of those days not knowing the names of what is wrong with me. From diet restrictions, infusions, injections, physical therapy, and more, I've been on a journey to healing in all areas of my life, even though I'm on this journey for life. These diseases don't define me but they are a part of who I am. Being a chronic disease fighter as a young adult has made me passionate about physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness along with a desire to help others living with chronic diseases.
